Wassef Design Group assisted Perkins Eastman, an architectural International firm from New York, in the Schematic and Design Development design services, under a first agreement with Cairo American College. The services included a materials market survey to come up with Egyptian products compatible to American finishing materials selected by PE, and acting as the Architect and Engineer of record in the submittal of Building Permit technical file.WDG provided under a second agreement with CAC the full Architectural and Engineering design and construction administration and supervision services to develop the PE conceptual design. The Engineering package included the design of Structural, Mechanical plumbing, mechanical HVAC, Fire Fighting and Electrical working drawings, and specifications. The assignment included the production of the bill of quantities and bidding documents.The combined space totals approximately 10,200 square meters will include: Learning Space, Administration and staff space, Community space, Library, Assembly room.WDG applied LEEDS recommendation in the provision of their services in providing Energy saving systems to promote the use of natural and passive systems as primary means of heating/cooling/ventilating/lighting the building.
