Seminar at the French Chamber of Commerce – Cairo

The construction and Building Material Committee of the French Chamber of Commerce (CCFE) in association with Wassef Design Group and M/S Al Mansoury for Contracts Management and Arbitration Practice have given a seminar about the Egyptian Revolution and its impacts on Construction Contracts. The main debate was about the assessment if it was a force majeure, an employer risk, and/or a special risk. The main topics were:

  • Ways to Contractually handle the current circumstances in Egypt under FIDIC Contracts of 1987 and 1999
  • Current, potential and indirect factors affecting cost and time in construction industry
  • Your Contractual Approaches for Moving Forward in Egypt, “The Realistic Hope”
