Upper Egypt Association for Education and Development
Wassef Design Group won a competition award from the Upper Egypt Association for Education and Development to select an architect for their new headquarters building. The program included spaces for an exhibition hall, an auditorium, conference rooms, library, art gallery, business and executive offices. The building also includes a limited number of accommodation rooms with a cafeteria and associated services.
The architectural design reflects the Egyptian culture by using patterns and inspirations of the Islamic and Egyptian architectural features with an inviting patio in the center of the compound.
WDG produced the contract documents to include architectural design, structural, mechanical, electrical working drawings, bill of quantities and specifications. The design included audio-visual design and simultaneous translation facilities at the multi-purpose room / auditorium. The contract administration included bidding and construction supervision of the works.
