US Embassy Office Building and Ambassador Residence
The State Department commissioned the firm “The Architects Collaborative” (TAC), a reputable Architectural firm in the USA, to design new facilities for its embassy in Egypt, located in the historic Garden City section of downtown Cairo. TAC appointed Wassef Design Group as the host country A/E consultant to assist in the design development, material selection, and zoning codes related issues. The services were extended to the responsibility of Architect and Engineer of Record with respect to building permits authorities in Egypt. The addition to the existing compound included embassy offices, visa services, large public meeting areas, the Ambassador’s residence, and quarters for the Marine Security Guard.
